FFW adds partner duo to executive committee
Field Fisher Waterhouse (FFW) has appointed partners Alison Dennis and Guy Usher to its executive committee, with Dennis the first female appointee.
Alison DennisThe duo were nominated by managing partner Michael Chissick, who was recently named to the role following a leadership shake-up at FFW (4 February 2013).Chissick also chairs the executive committee and is responsible for selecting its eight other members, including partners and business service heads. The committee is responsible for strategy, management and coordination between offices, practice areas and business service functions.Life sciences head Dennis was named in The Lawyer’s Hot 100 this year (28 January 2013). She joined FFW four years ago from Reed Smith (8 December 2008).Usher leads FFW’s financial institutions sector group and also sits on its remuneration committee. He trained at the firm and was made up in 1997.In a statement Chissick said Dennis and Usher brought “a wealth of experience” from their different practice and industry sectors. “Both head up key sector groups, which are going to be crucially important to the firm as we continue to develop our industry sector strategy,” he added.
