Olswang boosts pensions with Lawrence Graham hire
Olswang has strengthened its pensions team with the hire of Lawrence Graham partner Ron Burgess.
Ron BurgessBurgess, who originally trained and qualified in South Africa, began work at Olswang last week. He has previously worked at Allen & Overy, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and was seconded to the Pensions Regulator for a time.He advises corporates, trustees and insolvency practitioners on all pensions matters.Corporate head Fabrizio Carpanini said Burgess’s experience meant he was able to “navigate the intricacies of the system”, and that his expertise would fit with the firm’s sector focus approach.Olswang recently confirmed the redundancy of three associates in its finance and employment teams (16 May 2013). The firm promoted three to partner in its 2013 round (21 March 2013) and re-elected David Stewart as CEO for a second term in April (8 April 2013).
